This article suggests that the passing of the others (Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew, Malaysia's Mahathir Mohammad, and Thailand's King Bhumibol) may have a more destabilising effect in their respective countries than did Suharto's because Indonesia's political scene has already evolved to something more resilient since Suharto was forced out of office.
