Summary: First published in 1962 this book describes in practical terms the steps that were taken in the Philippines to overthrow the Huk rebellion. The authors - one Philippine one American - developed their skills leading guerillas against the Japanese in the Philippines during the Second World War. The book discusses the importance of dealing with all aspects of an insurgency: political, social, economic, and emphasises the importance of good intelligence. Appendices include patrol SOP, and suggested structure of a special warfare battalion. The book provides a very interesting contrast to the more widely written about Malayan Emergency.
