Tempur January 2007, pp.76-78Summary: Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean announced that the Singapore armed forces (SAF) will acquire 66 refurbished leopard 244 NBTs built by Krauss Maffei Wegmann together with 30 spare MBTs and supporting equipment from the German Federal Ministry of Defence. The SAF's leopard 244s wil be the most advanced MBTs to be in service in Southeast Asia.
