Summary: The subtitle of this collection is slightly misleading in that not all the selections are about the U.S. military. There is an article on British POWs at Auschwitz, and others which are more about the nature of threats (e.g. bioterrrorism). But most are concerned with the American military in a very broad range of topics including: the US Navy and the African slave trade, the Korean War, the Indian Wars, Pearl Harbor, combat search and rescue, and the American way of war. All items have previously been published elsewhere and several were prize winning articles.
