Report of extensive research in British archives for information that might shed any further light on the disappearance of the Australian cruiser Sydney during November 1941. The generally understood explanation is that she was sunk while engaging an armed merchant raider. Annex C gives details of attacks by and on disguised Axis merchant raiders during 1940-1941.
