Logistics is traditionally an unglamourous and underappreciated activity. The lessons of the Gulf War warrant careul examination the restatement of some of the oldest lessons of military history. There was leadership exercised in the 22nd support command at every level. To some extent the troops drew upon the good lessons that they had learned. Including its remarkable logistics reserve units has a lot to teach its generals.
