Addresses the possibilities of employing UAVs (Uninhabited Aerial Vehicles) in the Australian Defence Force in order to boost Australia's air power. The book introduces an overview of UAVs and their potential roles and then goes on to explain how UAVs could be integrated into Australian air defence. It then considers in more detail some of the challenges to successful introduction of UAVs. These include political factors, operational concepts, management of airspace and UAV systems, system vulnerabilities and cultural issues such as existing aircrew attitudes.
