Study of the territories which remain colonies - formally dependent on overseas powers. Though often small, widely scattered, and sparsely populated these are not necessarily insignificant places. Examples are Greenland, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and the Falkland Islands. This book presents different aspects of these territories including economics, tourism, military bases, strategic location, global geopolitics, the effect of nationalism and globalisation.
