COVERAGE AND ARRANGEMENT:Provides detailed contact information for a wide range of defence organizations, including Government ministries and organizations, research organizations, military colleges and defence manufacturers.The main entries for organizations are arranged alphabetically under country name in the 'Contact Reference' section, which is sub-arranged numerically by a type of activity classification number. Types of activities include: Head of State; Prime Minister; Ministries; Parliament; Defence Administrations/Services/Agencies; Defence Forces; Police (Civil); Coastguard, Border Protection Forces; Customs & Excise; Civil defense; Embassies and attaches; Military Liaison Offices; Foreign Forces; multinational intergovernmental organizations; Government defence sales/procurement agencies; Industry, Trade and Armed Forces Associations; Manufacturing companies; Service companies and organizations; Stockists; and Sales agents. It should be noted that coverage of organizations is not consistent or comprehensive for all countries. Defence Forces organizations for Brunei, for example, lists the Royal Brunei Navy only. All entries are dated and provide,as appropriate organization name, address, telephone, fax, capital, turnover, workforce numbers, names/contact details for chief personnel, and description of activities. Each entry is assigned a unique number within the sub-heading for type of activity and it is to this number that entries in the 'Quick Reference' Company/Organization Index refer.To locate main entries for organisations which provide a particular type of service or product there is a Product/Service index. This index is alphabetical by service and product type and refers the user to the classified 'Product/Supplier Link' section. This section lists appropriate company names under service/product codes and headings, with their page and unique number references, as listed in the 'Contact Reference' section.
