Only 4 pages of this book refer to action in Borneo during Konfrontasi. The balance is a personal account by an Australian member of the American "Mike Force", an SAS style unit which during the Vietnam War worked with and trained ethnic minority groups including mountain tribespeople (Montagnards). Mike Force and the Montagnard mercenaries stopped a large North Vietnamese Regular Army at the battle of Duc Lap described as one of the most intense and ferocious major battles of the war.
