This article draws lessons from the process of joint dialogue in Aceh as facilitated by the Geneva-based Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HDC) focussing on the limitations of using a 'negotiated access for humanitarian aid' strategy in achieving sustainable solutions for conflict.
