With the rise of ISIS, the Indonesian jihadist community became further fragmented along pro and anti-ISIS lines. Since 2016, terrorist attacks in Indonesia have had a pro-ISIS signature. Most recently, in May 2018, JAD-linked jihadists launched a series of terrorist attacks.
