The discussions vary studies within this tradition share the argument that local resistance to contemporary peacebuilding primarily takes the form of opposition to the biased direction of the peacebuilding programmes, which pursue security, democracy,the rule of law, development of market economy and effective administration as key requirements of a sustainable peace.
