UN Chronicle Volume LI No.4, 2014 (March 2015) pp.4-43 (51) Summary: The report of the Open Working Group (OWG) of the General Assembly on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), submitted to the Assembly in August 2014, contained 17 goals with 169 targets covering a broad range of sustainable development issues. On 4 December 2014, the General Assembly accepted the Secretary-General's Synthesis Report which stated that the agenda for the post-2015 SDGs process would be based on the OWG proposals. In this issue, the UN Chronicle takes a closer look at those proposed SDGs.
