Convoluted evolution: sprawling development of China's air-defence systems/ Robert Hewson
Material type: TextPublication details: 2013Subject(s): In: Jane's International Defence Review February 2013, pp.30-32 (120)Summary: This article talks about China's biennial Airshow China where it is seen to be only as an easily available exhibition space for military manufacturers (especially for the air-defence and land-system sectors) to showcase an array of new products and systems to an export audience. However, many of these designs are seen only once during these exhibitions. This article suggests that China's defence industry is evolving very quickly with a rate of product development that is so fast while at the same time also suggests that China's industry does not often finish the job and if there are no immediate takers for a proposal in the export market, that idea will disappear to be replaced by something else that may be equally short-lived.Item type | Current library | Call number | Copy number | Status | Date due | Barcode | |
