Includes bibliographical references
This commemorative book covers four related but diverse topics. The first is the extensive and unique series of tin coins issuedby the sultanate during the sixteenth, seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The second group of regional coinage comprises the issues of the two other formal states in north and western Borneo, Sabah and Sarawak. The third major group covered comprises foreign coins known to the Archipelago and to Eastern Asia by Europeans and their trading companies.
