Two of the twentieth centuries most influential futurists set out both positive and negative views on humanity's ability to live in peace and prosperity in the next 100 years. In the Introduction they state "...the way we make war reflects the way we make wealth - and the way we make anti-war reflects the way we make war." "Anti wars...include actions taken by politicians, and even by warriors themselves, to create conditions that deter or limit the extent of war. In a complex world, there are times when war itself becomes an instrument to prevent bigger more terrible war. Anti wars must match the wars they are intended to prevent."
