A biography of General James Gavin who joined America's first paratroop units. He then later came to command the 82nd Airborne Division in World War II, leading his men in various missions in Sicily, Italy, Normandy (D-Day invasion), Holland and The Battle of the Bulge. After the war, he became strategic planner to the Pentagon, President Kennedy's adviser and was also US ambassador to France.
