Logistics over-the-shore (LOTS) is the process of discharging cargo from vessels anchored off-shore or in-the-stream, transporting it to the shore and/or pier, and marshalling it for movement inland. LOTS operations are conducted over unimproved shorelines, through fixed-ports not accessible to deep draft shipping, and through fixed-ports that are inadequate without using LOTS capabilities. Digital version only (no printed version available in library).
