The October 1994 "Agreed Framework Between the United States of America and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea" was aimed at achieving "an overall resolution of the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula." As such, it contains both nuclear and non-nuclear objectives; the former aimed at freezing and eventually eliminating suspected North Korean nuclear weapons capabilities, the latter at eventual normalization of U.S.-DPRK relations and a resumption of North-South dialogue. This report provides an interim analysis of the progress made to date. Digital document only.
