Anne (Annelies Marie) kept this diary during the two years that she and her family hid from the Nazis in an attic in Holland. She started it at the age of 13 and it ended abruptly in 1944 when the family was found (denounced?). Anne died of typhus in Belsen concentration camp in February 1945, aged 15.
