Almost all the nations in South East Asia have been colonised by either one of the bipolar powers of the Cold War era: the Communists and the Alliance. This article gives an overview on the internal security laws enacted during this era, serving two main objectives: ensuring the security of a nation's citizens and maintaining the sovereignty of the ruling powers. |
