China favoured for Malaysian air-defence solution - 2005
China and Russia are said to be serious contenders for a low-to-high-altitude surface-to-air-missile ground based air defence system. Reportedly to be ordered in the ninth Malaysia Plan (2006-2010) the system will complement existing low altitude systems such as Jernas and Starburst.
