America's war in Afghanistan is without a clearly defined policy.Britain too was unable to pacify the region from Taliban aggresion.They attempt to win the hearts of the population giving a taste of western ideals and freedom so that they do not support Taliban advances. However the realities of causualties can be overwhelming for the troops, particularly in the Sangin District.
