Civilian resistance and the failure of the Indonesian counterinsurgency campaign in Nduga, West Papua/ Hipolitus Ringgi Wangge and Camellia Webb-Gannon - 2020
This article examines the Indonesian Military (TNI) on going counterinsurgency campaign in the West Papuan highlands of Nduga which has been unsuccessful due to the poor moves made by the TNI to the local society. It is argued that through this acts of non-cooperation such as internal migration/ displacement, disobedience and resistance, the people of Nduga have defied the TNI and undermined its counterinsurgency efforts.
