Enforced hospitality : local perceptions of the legitimacy of International forces in Afghanistan/ Lisa Karlborg - 2014
This article explores how Afghan citizens perceive the legitimacy of International security assistance force (ISAF) troops. The article concludes that ISAF troops are widely perceived to have failed on both ideational and security-based grounds. The article builds on two main approaches to such frames, which have surfaced in scholarly discourse. The first approach is a problem solving, second approach which takes a critical stance to instrumental understandings of legitimacy argues.
