The modernization program undertaken by the people's liberation army (PLA) can be interpreted as the foundation of deterrence to attain the objectives of military strategy. This article aims at presenting a detailed analysis of the evolving trajectory of China's operational military strategy and its consequent posture given that informationization has been set as the goal of moderniation of China's national defense and of its military.
