Looks at the United States relations with Pakistan where the U.S. has used various efforts to persuade Pakistan to cooperate and aid in measures to stop terrorism. However, these efforts seemed to go in vain and this article suggests that the United States would probably need to get tough with Pakistan as gentle persuasion has been tried but failed.
