Argues that focusing on radicalisation (i.e. why some young men resort to violent extremism while many others do not) is not helpful as the concept is poorly defined and there is no coherent counter mechanism. Instead policies, resources and effort should be directed towards countering terrorism and terrorists. The article refers to the UK context but the concept has wider relevance.
