This article states that contrary to current popular opinion there are in fact only two superpowers in the world able to exert global influence across the full spectrum of power from hard to soft. These are the USA and Europe. Furthermore because the post cold war world favours European styles of power Europe's influence is increasing and will continue to do so. Recommends policy makers in Washington update their views on Europe.
