COVERAGE AND ARRANGEMENT: Part 1 Capabilities, Trends and Economics. Entries arranged alphabetically by country within main world regions. Each region is prefaced with a descriptive account of major military developments and events of the previous year. Country entries give defence budgets, force breakdowns with personnel and equipment, reserves, and deployments. Each section concludes with tables of significant arms orders and deliveries. Part 1 chapter 9 lists UN and other deployments in 2007-2008, major training exercises, comparative defence expenditures and military manpower, and arms deliveries.
