Watching the skies: a history of ground radar for the air defence of the United Kingdom by the Royal Air Force from 1946-1975 - London: HMSO, 1993 - 328, (76)p.

This book surveys the development of radar over a period of 30 years, illustrating the changing relationships between scientists and military personnel. Most of the information was derived from the quarterly or half-yearly progress reports issued by Telecommunications Research Establishment, Radar Research & Development Establishment (then for one year only, Royal Radar Development Establishment) and the Royal Radar Establishment. Appropriate files from the offices of the Air Staff were also used.
